8.36°cThe Marton Ladies held their Open Day last Friday which was again very kindly sponsored by Optimo.
A good turnout from a dozen differing clubs saw a strong field of 60 players competing.
The MGC girls, still on hot form from their Monday Pennants Season, topped Division 1 with Rachel Williams winning the Nett competition and Jenny Ritchie winning the Stableford competition.
But it was wide eyed celebrations for Marton's newest member, Jean Thompson, who secured herself the Openshaw Cup for the best local score with a nett 69! A new personal best to boot!
