Results are in from our inaugural Matariki Stableford Tournament held on Friday.

A great day was had at the MGC with 93 players in the field for this new event, many commending the quality of the course so thanks to Shay & Jayden and all the volunteers for your efforts amidst the wet weather we've had recently.

Our 9 Matariki Star Holes were well received with many players enjoying the chance at an extra prize with the multitude of accuracy challenges across the course.

In the main event, our 18 hole stableford competition, the course was master of many but we did have a few shining stars out there to claim podium finishes across our divisions.

Mens Division 1: 1st Stu Duncan - 2nd Greg McIver - 3rd Hamish McDonald

Mens Division 2: 1st Nigel Belsham - 2nd Ryan Bremner - 3rd Blair Hodgson

Mens Division 3: 1st Phil Simpson - 2nd Jayme Bremner - 3rd Rob Peters - 4th Sean Boerboom

Womens Division: 1st Cheryl Rhodes - 2nd Rhona Mason - 3rd Sue Marshall - 4th Desi Singer

Best Gross: Ryan Rooney with an impressive 2 under par 70

Thank you to all the club volunteers who helped organise this event, start the day, run the raffles, oversee challenge holes, help cook food, enter scores and enable a smooth running of this new event to the MGC. An amazing effort by all.
