A busy agenda at MGC over the weekend with our regional guests Hawkes Bay, Taranaki and Wellington competing against current title holders Manawatu Wanganui Golf for the Stu Smith Memorial Trophy.

Our own club day ran behind the Masters Competition, with the locals showing how to play the course with multiple players collecting 40+ stableford points. Etching out 3 on his heels, Stu Duncan won the day with an impressive 43 points!

Sunday MGC headed out to Hawkestone Golf with their own trophy in sights, leaving the regions to play out their final day at home for the Stu Smith Memorial.
A committed team of members traveled down the road to Hawkestone to play for the Transport Cup. With our Team Captain Aron Bremner leading the field first off Number 1, MGC collected enough points to come runners up to the hosts on the day with top Marton player with 34 points being Caroline Watson
Thanks to all those who made up the team.
Returning home we find that runners up must be theme of the day with Manawatu Wanganui Golf coming off a heavy loss to a dominat Wellington side to pass on the Stu Smith Memorial Trophy.
We hope all teams enjoyed the MGC and we'll see you again.
