Another good field enjoyed playing in the warm spring weather, with Les Wake making the most of these conditions by scoring a nett 65 to win the medal competition and the Wanganui Furnishers voucher. Several other competitions were decided with Richard Ellery winning the Tutaenui Handicap from Tony Mishchewski. Peter Skou won the Masters Cup.
